The Pumpernickel Pickle is a story about a cucumber who does not grow to be the same color as the rest of the cucumbers in a patch. He gets bullied, and it is through an attempted rescue that he finds that being different is okay.
This story was written and illustrated by a Mema for her first-born grandchild based off a jingle she created to soothe him as a newborn.
