Rick, a surgery resident with Cuban roots, receives a package from his estranged uncle containing a cryptic note regarding his father’s disappearance in Cuba and a lost car once owned by Ernest Hemingway. The car is the key to a lost Hemingway manuscript about the Cuban revolution and the mystery surrounding his father. Almost simultaneously, Rick is invited on a surgical mission to Cuba by the chief of plastic surgery at his hospital. In the ensuing adventure, he must abandon his self-centered mindset and lifestyle to accept help from others-especially when he discovers that he is being shadowed by two intelligence agencies also interested in the manuscript. Successful in the end, he finds more than he imagined, including love.
