I found this little book not only fun to read, it offers the added value of lessons to be discussed with children. The character Grommet interacts with nature in an appreciative and enjoyable manner and lays the foundation for meaningful conversation with the little ones.

You can’t learn the lessons if you don’t know the “surfer speak”, and from there to the hearing of “lyrical waves”, this not so book for children only is a fun read especially for “shoobies”.

Great for summer reading. Two of my friends’ children and my niece up north in Illinois loved it. They aren’t ready to travel and visit me here in Florida, so it was great to be able to send a bit of the beach to them there. I hope that they will be able to join me soon and try out what they learned in the book!

Best book in the world! My kids love this book. My son asks to read this book every night and he has even asked to sleep with this book at night. Such a well written story that teaches kids to enjoy the little things in life and some super cool surf lingo.
