The author’s early life was a twisted path of physical, sexual and verbal abuse so he anesthetized himself with alcohol and drugs to hide the pain. Later in life, he learned to forgive those who abused him only to discover his own body was his worst enemy as he endured 34 surgeries, often praying to die. Read his inspirational story.

LARRY A. LEE’S JOURNEY TO CLAIM HIS SOUL began at seven years old when he chose to defend his mother against his alcoholic father’s physical abuse in Unionville, Connecticut. Three years later, his mother passed away from infectious hepatitis. Before her passing, Larry promised his mother he would grow up to be a “Good Man.”

Since the age of ten, life undoubtedly threw itself against Larry time and time again. All forms of unspeakable torments and challenges made up his adolescence in Burlington, Connecticut. At eighteen years old, while he was living in a field in Oklahoma City, a single act of kindness saved him, and it forever changed his life.

And so it was, his journey of ten million miles to keep the promise he made his mother led him to a seven-year-old boy, who adopted him. Larry held love in his hand, and then he conquered his world.

Growing up off the shores of an unknown city on the outskirts of Cleveland, Ohio may reflect the very being of a lot of people with an unknown possibility... This book presents collections of "sayings" gives pause to a life of uncertainty when the country was in turmoil, judgments of self and acceptability might cause the most casual reader to wonder why am I reading this, but to dig in to its reflective writings, be it sayings, a poem, or story. The meaning is sincere, and is truly a reflection... Mr. Snee has always tried to be reflective and put in the ease of moods for any setting. Writing this book of collections of many sorts only proves his desire for those who pick it up to just sit, relax, read and don't be scared to "encourage" those around you to make that valiant step in LIFE... "What's Up" is not a passage from a culturally based saying of the times, but a real question in one's own life to ask the very essence of, what is around the corner.
