Calvin is a boy with cerebral palsy who wears his crazy boots every day. He even wears them in the summertime and to birthday parties! His classmates don’t understand what ankle-foot braces are or why he wears them. Calvin realizes that being different isn’t always easy. Sometimes, people say mean things. He begins to think, “People don’t get me.” Then he comes up with a plan to help his classmates know him better. His bravery opens doors to friendship and inspires others to be uniquely themselves.
